Geoblocking Policy
This Geoblocking Policy explains how and why VAY FINANCE INC., operating as "VayFinance", restricts access to its services from certain countries and regions.
1. Purpose
We restrict access to our services from jurisdictions where offering cryptocurrency exchange services would breach applicable law, international sanctions, or our own risk policies. This protects our business, our customers, and the integrity of the financial system.
2. Restricted jurisdictions
We do not knowingly provide services to individuals or entities located in, resident in, or organized under the laws of a country or region that is subject to comprehensive Canadian or international economic sanctions, or identified by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) as a high-risk jurisdiction subject to a call for action. This includes, without limitation, Cuba, Iran, North Korea (DPRK), Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. This list is not exhaustive, is not static, and may be updated at our discretion as sanctions lists and regulatory guidance change, without prior notice.
3. How we enforce this policy
We use a combination of measures to identify and restrict access from restricted jurisdictions, including IP address checks, identity and address verification carried out during onboarding, and review of payment and account information.
4. Circumventing geoblocking is prohibited
Using a VPN, proxy, false address, or any other method to misrepresent your location or evade this policy is a breach of our Customer Agreement Policy and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and cancellation of pending orders.
5. Changes to restricted jurisdictions
We regularly review applicable sanctions regimes and regulatory guidance and may add or remove jurisdictions from our restrictions at any time.
